Almost every morning I would go surfing in Kauai, Hawaii beach to catch some waves. On, Friday, October 31,2003 this was most unlucky day of my life. The funny thing is this day was one of the days that we had second thoughts about surfing. We were going to be late to the Halloween party so we figured we will just catch a few waves. As we got in the water the tide was low so it took longer then usual. I was just relaxing on my surf board waiting for some waves when I noticed my friends drifted away from me. Out of no where there was a flash of grey came up and attacked me. My arm was bit off four inches below my shoulder. The doctor's say if it would have been two more inches it would have been fatal.

Digital Story 2 Narrative

Since middle school I have vouleentered to help raise money for march of dimes. March of dimes is an organization to help raise money for pre mature babies. All he money raised goes to hospitals to help save premature babies. Not a lot of premature babies survive because they need medical attention. Premature babies are so tiny they can fit inside the doctors palm. They need treatments done in order to survive. I support premature babies because my brother was born slightly premature. He weighed 5 pounds. My mom was so nervous to change his diaper because she was afraid to hurt him. A pre mature baby is born before the 37th week of pregnancy. Premature births happen within 8-10 percent of pregnancies, in the United States. Premature babies weigh a lot less then a healthy baby because their organs did not have enough time to develop. Premature babies need medical treatments, they get these treatments until their organs can work on their own. My high school is raising money for the march of dimes. They are selling bracelets and a piece of paper you can out our name on to show you help support. We will sign up to walk in the March of Dimes. It is usually a beautiful day out where everyone comes and raises money to put towards the march of dimes. With the help of everyone premature babies should have no problem surviving and living a healthy life. Come help support premature babies, and show that you care. You can save a babies LIFE and help them live a long healthy life.

Graduate Portfolio Reflection Story 1

My project relates to the graduate portfolio. This reason is because it is all about me.
It shows my identity. My project shows pictures that symbolize my identity. At the end of the year
we have to make a portfolio showing our goals and achivements. My project made me an effective
user of technology. It helped me improve my use of technology. We had to make a powerpoint
on our identity. We put in our favorite song, that played along with our powerpoint. I learned how to
look at picture from google and not take them illegaly. I also learned how to create a powerpoint and
decorate it the way I want it. I found 12 pictures that symbolized my life. We had to reflect our Digital story,
in a paragraph description. I learned a lot from this and will be better the next time I make a powerpoint in Mr. Mianos class.
